Local Transport

We presume you are flying into Lisbon Airport (LIS), if you need other directions, please inquire.

The most obvious option to get from the airport to the conference venue will be by metro (fares, in English). Tickets are loaded onto a contactless card called «viva viagem», they can be bought at the large, blue vending machines inside the airport station. We recommend charging 10€ onto the card under the «Zapping» option. Note that there is a charge of 50¢ for the card, that can be recovered if you return the card undamaged together with the receipt.

The buses and trams in Lisbon (Carris) are on the same fare system, so the viva viagem works on them as well.

Uber is available in Lisbon, if one is so inclined. There is also Cabify. Otherwise you can hail a regular taxi using MyTaxi.

The meeting will take place in room PA2 (floor -1) the Mathematics building on the Alameda campus of the Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa:
